The California Central Coast Chapter of The Wildlife Society will be hosting a workshop featuring aquatic and semi-aquatic herpetofauna of the central coast region. Dr. Robert Cooper, Jeff Alvarez, and Dr. Erin Toffelmier will present on rare and common species from the California central coast region. Species identification, survey protocols, and field methods will be emphasized. Superficial handling and identification of California red-legged frog, coast range newt, California tiger salamander, western spadefoot, and southwestern pond turtle ecology and identification will be emphasized during the field and lecture portions of the workshop.

This is a rigorous workshop, expect inclement weather, difficult terrain, long days/nights, limited facilities, and physical demands. By registering for this event, you agree to adhere to the Code of Ethics and Behavior during the entire Workshop/Event and, if any, online activities.

Due to the limited nature of this workshop, we are asking that only two (2) participants from a given organization sign up at a time. Additionally, this workshop is only open to registrants who have not taken the course in the last 4 years. Participants who do not follow the workshop requirements will be dropped from the workshop.
